Duke Urology had a strong presence at the American Urology Association annual meeting in 2024. It was held May 3 to May 6 in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Faerber will be stepping down as emcee of the event after a decade.

The ninth annual symposium was held on April 19, 2024, with a focus on Urologic Effects of Aging.

Duke Urology’s Thomas Polascik, MD, and colleagues published a white paper in European Urology that shows good intermediate- to long-term outcomes for patients with low- to intermediate-risk localized prostate cancer.

O. Lenaine Westney, MD, FACS, UPRS, Professor of Urology and Urinary Tract and Pelvic Reconstruction Fellowship Director at MD Anderson Cancer Center at the McGovern Medical School at University of Texas-Houston, was the 2024 Victor Politano Lecturer.
