Clinical and Research Interests
Clinically, I am interested in exploring all aspects of urology, from pediatrics to oncology. I have research interests in patient choice & medical decision-making, cost in health care, and the intersection of medicine & economics.
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a residency program that offered a robust and varied clinical experience across the breadth of urology, a strong community of residents, and research opportunities that aligned with my interests.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The strengths of the Duke program are a tight-knit group of residents who support each other, strong clinical experience from experienced faculty, and the multidisciplinary resources of Duke University and Health System at large.
What advice do you have for incoming interns?
My advice is to be organized and think about how you can make things better for your patients and your co-interns. You should also enjoy your 4th year of medical school and your time off before starting intern year.
What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
The Triangle offers great small breweries and restaurants, good shows at the DPAC, and Duke basketball.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I like hanging out at the downtown breweries, hiking around NC, and playing tennis.
