On Monday, April 7, Duke Urology residents participated in a hands-on prosthetic urology training lab, sponsored by Boston Scientific Corporation. The event featured didactic lectures by the Duke Division of Reconstructive Urology, followed by an immersive cadaver lab focused on penile implants for male erectile dysfunction, as well as artificial urinary sphincters and male slings for stress urinary incontinence.
Drs. Aaron Lentz, Andrew Peterson, Jordan Foreman, and Mariela Martinez-Rivera led the session, offering expert insights into these advanced procedures.
Duke is proud to be one of the first academic medical centers in the Southeast to utilize the Boston Scientific Mobile Lab, providing residents with invaluable, real-world experience in cutting-edge urological techniques.
